Can I use Nexia Pay without an internet connection?
Yes. Apple Pay and Google Pay work offline using the NFC chip in your phone. The transaction is saved locally and synchronized as soon as you regain a connection. A delay of a few seconds may be observed on your statement.
Is there a contactless payment limit?
Standard contactless payment is limited to €50 per transaction without additional authentication. Beyond that, your phone automatically requests biometric validation (Face ID, fingerprint). Online purchases do not have a mobile-specific cap.
Can my phone be used if I lose it?
No. Mobile payment requires your biometrics or PIN. If lost, block your card from the Nexia app on another device or by phone. You can also use your OS's "Find" feature to lock or wipe the device remotely.
Can I have multiple cards in my wallet?
Yes. You can add all your Nexia cards (primary, secondary) as well as your loyalty cards, meal vouchers and digital identity documents in a single wallet. Set your default map with a swipe.
Is mobile payment available abroad?
Absolutely. Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay are accepted in all countries where the Visa network offers contactless. More than 100 million terminals worldwide are compatible, including on public transport in most major European and Asian cities.
